Select photographs selected from the eBook, Architecture of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, celebrate the architecture that reflects the region, its craftsmen, its cultures and its climate over the past 160 years. Photographer Deval “Pino” Shah has captured the significant architecture of the four border counties and created a visual perspective of the Valley: its traditions and innovations, persistence, and adaptations. Narratives accompanying the photographs by Stephen Fox and Rochelle Hawk.

Deval ‘Pino’ Shah is an architecture and performing arts photographer who divides his time between McAllen, Texas and Ahmedabad, India.
Stephen Fox is an architectural historian and a fellow of the Anchorage Foundation of Texas.
Rochelle Hawk is a writer based in Ohio. She spent 14 years in journalism and now works in marketing and creative endeavors.
